A treasure binding of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, illustrated by Arthur Rackham.
The book and box are bound in various fish leathers, eel skin, stingray, and reindeer hide brought to the surface from a ship wrecked Dutch brigantine foundered in 1786 off the Cornish coast. The fittings: corners, clasp and buckle are fashioned from sterling silver and freshwater pearls.
All inspired by the story of shipwreck, castaways and a magical island.
